😦 “Granny, don’t start the car! Please, don’t do it!” my grandson shouted as he stopped me from taking the car: what I discovered later left me speechless.
My husband had passed away after a long illness. I was getting ready to go to his funeral. I had put on my coat and grabbed the car keys.
As I was about to get into the car, my grandson ran towards me shouting, “Granny, don’t start the car! Please, don’t do it!”
“What’s wrong, my dear? You know I have to go to your grandfather’s funeral.”
“Yes, I know, but please, don’t take the car, trust me.”
“What if we walk there? There’s still plenty of time.”
At that moment, I didn’t really understand what was going on, but he seemed genuinely terrified, so I decided to trust him.
We started walking, and that’s when my phone vibrated. It was a call from my children.
“No, don’t answer, Granny,” he said, looking even more scared.
I reassured him by saying I wouldn’t answer to calm him down, but what I discovered later left me speechless.

As we continued walking, I became more and more disturbed by my grandson’s visible worry.
We had barely reached the corner of the street when I heard the sound of an engine that made me jump.
I turned around and saw a car speeding toward us.
It braked suddenly, but too late: it skidded and crashed into a tree right where my car had been parked just minutes earlier.
My heart sank as I realized that if I had taken the car, we would have been in that collision.
I rushed to call my children, and one of them explained that a technical problem had been detected in the car.
My grandson, with his incredible sensitivity, had sensed the danger before it even appeared.
It was a miracle, a true sign of fate.
