Babies will do what they want in the cutest way possible. A toddler took storytime in a different direction than what his father had planned.
Imagine a father bonding with his son during storytime. The toddler has yet to speak, and the proud father has been slowly teaching him specific word for weeks. With an animal book in his hand, a determined father blurted out ‘dada’ with every page turn.
His son was excited every time he turned the page and sometimes turned the page himself. When the child showed each picture, the father correctly pronounced the sounds of the animals.
It seems like there was an invisible bargain between father and son. If he wants to hear animal sounds, it will always be accompanied by a small amount of “dada.” As the book nears its end, the son seems ready to say his first words.
Dad was very excited and woke up at a time when everyone was waiting. All her hard work suddenly stopped when her son called out “mommy” twice.
