š² I decided to test my son’s girlfriend before their wedding by disguising myself as a housekeeper : when my son discovered her true character, he did something that even I never could have imagined.
When my son showed me a photo of Clara, his girlfriend, I had a bad feeling. Their relationship was very serious, and he wanted to marry her, but my instincts told me she wasn’t as kind as he believed. So I asked him to invite her over to the house before the wedding.
I decided to test Clara. Before welcoming her, I disguised myself as the housekeeper. I asked my son to stay upstairs on the second floor and not come down until I called him.
When Clara arrived, I opened the door and introduced myself as the housekeeper. She looked at me with contempt and walked in without even saying hello.
I explained that she would have to wait because no one else was home. She looked me up and down before saying in a condescending tone:
“You’re just the housekeeper. Don’t act like you’re the lady of the house.”
A few moments later, she noticed a small mark on the floor and ordered me to clean it immediately. I brought over a bucket of water and started mopping the floor.
A few drops of water splashed onto Clara’s dress. She immediately became furious. She snatched the bucket out of my hands and dumped the water all over me.
At that exact moment, my son appeared at the top of the stairs. The instant Clara saw him, her attitude changed completely, and she began to lie:
“Honey, this woman threatened me!”
My son did something that even I never could have imagined.

My son remained silent for a few seconds, staring at Clara.
Then he walked over to me, helped me to my feet, and calmly said:
“I saw everything and heard everything from the very beginning.”
The color drained from Clara’s face.
She tried to defend herself, but every word only made the situation worse.
Without raising his voice, my son took the engagement ring out of his pocket and placed it on the table.
“I wanted to marry a woman who respects others, not someone who looks down on people because of their appearance or their job.
If you can treat a stranger like this, I can’t imagine how you’ll behave in the future.”
Clara left without saying a word.
That day, I realized my son had not only discovered his fiancĆ©e’s true characterāhe had also proven that he had the values and the courage to make the right decision.
