After our move, I decided to get rid of my old furniture 🛋️. This table was one of them, and I was ready to throw it away 🗑️.
But my husband wanted to keep it and give it a second life ♻️. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations; I thought it would end up in his workshop as just a simple workbench 🔨.
And yet, after seeing the result, I completely changed my mind 🤩. Today, it has found a place in our living room 🏡. The final result is in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
The table’s top was very dirty, with unattractive finishes.
Since the top was about 5 cm short, he used a pine board to extend it.
The legs were also very damaged, so he decided to cut them.
He removed the worn-out dowels, made new ones, and glued them to solidify the table.
We chose a very light blue for the frame, and while the paint was drying, he created a new drawer.
As for the top, he first applied a coat of oak stain, then a medium oak wax.
In the end, he achieved a coffee table with preserved imperfections.
I really liked it, and I decided to use it in my living room.
