My grandmother had finally decided to get rid of this old piece of furniture 🪑, which she had had for years. It was definitely time to replace it, but she never imagined that her story with this piece of furniture would take an unexpected turn 🔄.
My brother, passionate about renovation 🔨, decided to give it a second life. The initial idea was to restore it for his workshop, but the result exceeded my grandmother’s expectations so much that she completely changed her mind 😲.
She decided to keep it ❤️. I’m sharing the process and the final result in the article linked in the first comment 👇👇👇.
At first, my brother was afraid of damaging it.
The piece of furniture was very old, and my brother applied several coats of paint.
Four coats were enough to achieve a light shade.
And to ensure the paint was even and would last, he allowed each coat to dry before applying the next one.
Of course, this work required a lot of patience, but the result was definitely worth it.
When the armoire was ready, my grandmother changed her mind and decided to keep it for herself.
The new version fit perfectly with the interior of the house.
She even started rearranging the room around the armoire, proud of the transformation.
Over time, this piece of furniture became a centerpiece of the decor.
