I found this old piece of furniture in our new house and I had no idea what it was

We moved into a new house, and while exploring the living room, I noticed an old piece of furniture. I had no idea what it was 🤔.

I then suggested to my husband that we ask the previous owners, but to my surprise 😲, he knew exactly what it was. He had already seen a similar piece at his grandparents’ house.

This vintage piece of furniture was in the living room of our new home.

I wondered what it was until my husband explained it to me.

He told me it was a magazine rack, which was popular in the 60s.

I had never seen one before, but now that I know what it’s for, I find it really charming.

It’s made of solid wood with lovely carved details, which gives it real character.

We decided to clean it and restore it to give it its former shine.

Today, it’s become a real decorative piece in our living room, and everyone asks us where we found it.

I think it’s awesome to be able to bring an old piece of furniture back to life instead of throwing it away.

It’s a great example of the little forgotten treasures that old houses sometimes hold.
