I have a real passion for vintage furniture πͺβ¨. All my loved ones know this, and they gladly entrust me with their old pieces so I can give them a second life π±.
This old dresser π‘ was in my grandparents’ house π΅π΄, and I decided to take it and transform it π¨π¨.
The process was quite interesting π€ and the result impressed everyone ππ. Check it out in the article in the first comment πππ.
The last time I visited my grandparents, they were in the process of getting rid of their old furniture.
Among all the discarded items, I spotted a dresser that seemed pretty interesting.
Since I really appreciate vintage furniture, I decided to take it and give it a second life.
First, I removed the plastic moldings.
I used a hairdryer to remove the polyester resin coating.
To avoid damaging the veneer, I sanded the dresser using sandpaper.
At first, I covered the sides and top of the dresser with Gap oil (iron black).
But then, I decided to change the color and went with a coffee shade.
In the end, I applied an acrylic varnish to protect the top.
