đŻ I returned from a business trip and found my boys asleep in the hallway. I was shocked when I discovered why they werenât in their room.
I regularly go on business trips for a few days, and it’s my mother who comes to take care of the kids. Recently, my husband changed jobs and now works from home. This time, he suggested that he take care of the kids while I was away, instead of my mother. I had also asked my mother to come by occasionally to prepare meals and lend a hand.
I felt more at ease this time when I left. I was supposed to be gone for a week, but I decided to return two days early to surprise them.
I arrived late at night, and when I opened the door, I was in shock. First, the door wasn’t properly closed, as if it had been locked badly. And then, I found my kids, aged 6 and 8, asleep on the cold hallway floor. I couldn’t understand what was going on.
I also heard strange noises coming from the kids’ room. A bit worried, I headed towards the room to see what was happening. When I opened the door, what I saw completely shook me.
The rest of the story is in the article in the first comment đđđ.
When I opened the door, I found my husband sitting comfortably on the couch, a video game controller in hand.
I stared at him for a moment, puzzled.
He was so absorbed in his game that he didnât even hear me come in.
It was as if he was in another world, completely disconnected from reality.
I approached him, and without looking up, he murmured, “Youâre back early.”
When I asked him why the kids weren’t in their beds, he simply replied:
“The kids donât want to sleep in their roomâŠ
They say it smells bad, that shadows move.
I thought it would be better to keep them near our room, just in case.”
I froze.
His response made me really angry, and I was shocked by how calm he was.
