This piano belonged to my grandmother, but she hadn’t played it in years 🎹. I decided to give it a new life… by transforming it into a desk ✨.
The idea seemed a bit crazy, but I had a clear image in mind. The result? My whole family was shocked 😲.

The first step of the transformation was fixing the top.
To hide the cuts from the beam, I attached a board.
This created a flat surface.
I prepared two small shelves from an old board and installed them after preparing the inside.
I reused the leftover part of the cut top for the bottom.
Next, I cut and painted the hinges, then, after sanding, I applied a special varnish.
After painting, I cleaned the handles and pedals.
For better protection, I applied a few layers of oil.
After the transformation, the desk had plenty of storage space.
The process took me 70 hours, but the result was worth it.
My whole family was shocked, especially my grandmother, who couldn’t believe it was her old piano.
She couldn’t help but observe it closely.
She even asked me several times if it was really hers, since the transformation was so radical.
