My mother wanted to get rid of this little piece of furniture because it was already quite worn out. But I decided to give it a second chance ✨.
With a bit of time, care, and a few brush strokes 🎨, it completely changed its look. A real makeover that brought it back to life! My mother loved the result… so much that she decided to keep it ❤️.

The furniture was in decent condition; it just needed a few adjustments.
The handles were off-center, the drawer fronts were poorly finished, and a wavy pattern was visible in some areas.
Using wood filler, I masked all the imperfections.
Then I started the sanding process.
First, I applied a coat of black paint, followed by three coats of white.
A light sanding allowed the black base to show through in places, creating a beautiful distressed effect.
To finish, I applied a wax-effect varnish, which is more suitable for wicker than traditional wax.
My mother really liked the result and decided to keep it in her bedroom.
She now uses it to store her medication and various other items.
