“Time traveller” by Naïm Zriouel: He composes a rap to revise for the philosophy exam of the baccalaureate

Just a few days after the philosophy exam of the baccalaureate, Naïm Zriouel introduces us to “Le Voyageur du Temps” (The Time Traveler)

Part of his upcoming album, which blends rap, poetry, and slam, it delves into philosophical ideas…

“I had some rather strange dreams, where I encountered Socrates at the top of the Parthenon, for example.”

These dreams were one of the sources of inspiration for the student, who later decided to compose a song about them.

It is also his passion for this discipline that led him to this project: “I appreciate it tremendously.

I read numerous books, listen to audio programs… I am a fervent follower.

And then, I thought it would be interesting to compose a song about all the thinkers who have had an influence on me.”

In his recent composition, “Le Voyageur du Temps,” he evokes the encounters with various thinkers and the ideas they developed in their writings.

It is also a way to offer students taking the philosophy baccalaureate the opportunity to learn in a different way: “from the first words of my lyrics, I thought it could be beneficial for them.”

For this resident of Marseille, supporting young people is “a true rebirth.”

And he has aspirations for this song: “if a single teenager, while listening to this song, earns enough points on the philosophy baccalaureate to pass, that would be fantastic.

I also hope that this song broadens horizons. Just like mathematics, philosophy can be intimidating, even though it is a fascinating subject.

Approaching it through music could potentially change perspectives on it.

My main source of motivation is Jacques Brel. In my eyes, he is the most talented rapper in the world.

The release of Naïm Zriouel’s first album is scheduled for September 24th. It is a way for him to fulfill one of his childhood dreams: “At forty years old, I will release my album, which was one of my childhood dreams.

And it is a way to demonstrate that anything is achievable. I am fundamentally positive.

I am convinced that in every person, there exists a dream, an ability, a desire upon which any project can be built.
