Our wardrobe was already in very bad condition, but my brother decided to transform it.
First, he dismantled the decorative elements: the mirror and the back panel.
Then, he replaced the shelf and removed the partitions.
The hardest part was cleaning the wardrobe. There were some spots where the paint had deeply penetrated the wood.
It took him a few days to fully clean the carvings.
After cleaning, he started polishing the wardrobe to lighten the wood’s tone.
In some areas, it was impossible to remove the paint, so he decided to leave those parts to preserve the natural look of the wardrobe.
To preserve the natural color, he chose clear oil and wax, so the wardrobe took on an elegant and modern look.
After the transformation, the wardrobe got a second life and became the new ornament of our house.
