šÆ My neighbor had developed the habit of driving over my lawn every day to shorten the path to her house: here’s the lesson I taught her.
After my divorce, I was going through a very tough time. So, I decided to start over, and to begin with, I moved to a new place.
I found a quiet neighborhood where the neighbors all seemed friendly. That’s when I met Sabrina, a neighbor who lived in the house on the corner.
Everything was fine, but one day I noticed tire tracks on my lawn. At first, I thought a delivery person had simply taken the wrong route and didnāt realize they had driven on the grass.
But the same thing happened for several days in a row. One morning, I finally saw that it was Sabrina.
When I asked her why she was doing this, she replied that sometimes she was running late, and driving across my lawn saved her time.
I thought that after our conversation, she would stop since I had clearly told her it bothered me. But no, she continued the same behavior.
One day, she even told me with a smile, “Itās just grass, itāll grow back.” Honestly, it started to really annoy me.
So, I decided to teach her a good lesson. Hereās what I didā¦
The rest of the story is in the first comment ššš.
I couldnāt take it anymore.
So, one morning, I had a simple but effective idea.
I gathered small, sharp stones and spread them across my lawn, right where Sabrina always drove with her car.
Nothing too obvious, just enough to teach her a discreet lesson.
The next day, I heard the familiar sound of her engine, followed by a crunch.
When I went outside, I saw that one of her tires was flat.
She gave me a look but didnāt say anything.
Since that day, there hasnāt been a single tire track on my grass.
I didnāt even need to say another word.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little cleverness to make someone understand respect.
