😦 My son woke up after a year in a coma, and his first words were: “It wasn’t an accident,” and what we discovered afterward left us all speechless.
I had organized a lovely party for my son’s eighth birthday in our garden. Everything was going well and the children were fully enjoying themselves.
But everything changed when I found my son on the ground, his face swollen. He could no longer breathe properly. In fact, he was suffering from a severe allergy, and everyone knew it. I had even set a strict rule: no nuts in our home.
We immediately took him to the hospital, where the doctor diagnosed him with an anaphylactic shock. He fell into a coma that night.
Since that day, our lives stopped. It has already been a year that he has been in a coma. So when the doctor called me to tell me he had woken up, I don’t even know how I got to the hospital.
When I entered his room, he was still very weak and could barely speak. He looked at me and whispered: “It wasn’t an accident.” And what was revealed afterward left us all speechless.

When he whispered that it wasn’t an accident, I initially thought it was confusion.
But over the following days, his memories became clearer.
He told me about one of his classmates, a boy he often argued with.
That day, according to him, the boy had given him a cookie, insisting he eat it, almost like a challenge.
I contacted the boy’s parents, and he eventually admitted that he had deliberately given the cookie, annoyed by their arguments and wanting to “scare him” or “win.”
But he didn’t know how severe my son’s allergy was.
Realizing the consequences, he broke down in tears.
It was not a deliberate act, but a terrible mistake.
