Over the years, there have been numerous stories of people stumbling upon hidden treasures.
A man, before being forced to leave the country, went on a mission to locate the family property that his father had hidden.
The Teaching of a Father
This man had learned the art of finding hidden objects from his father, but the journey was anything but easy.
There were doubts as to whether these objects could stand the test of time, given that they had been hidden for seventy years.
Fortunately, the items were successfully found and, to their delight, they were found to be in excellent condition.
The man returned to his childhood home and headed to the attic, where he began searching for a small cable attached to one of the wooden panels.
Opening the shelves via this cable revealed a stunning array of objects from decades past.
Over the years, the man had feared that numerous roof repairs on the house might damage the hidden treasures.
However, his fears were allayed as he discovered seventy packages carefully hidden in the attic by his father.
“Everyone spoke with the same voice,” he recalled.
Despite his efforts, he could not decipher the language that would allow him to remove the panels as his father had intended.
Some of the packages had been opened, while others were still wrapped in brown paper.
The collection included newspapers, hat hangers, paintings, skis, paperweights, pencils, umbrellas, school desks, unopened cigarette packs, badges, books, socks and sewing supplies.
Surprisingly, everything was still in working condition.
The Acquisition of a Museum
Due to their significant historical value, the treasures are now kept in a museum located in the Czech town of Usti nad Labem.
The museum director said he was amazed to discover such “German property” hidden in the area.
“The packages were hidden very cleverly in the attic vault,” commented the museum director.
The amount of items that could fit into such a small space was truly incredible. It took over an hour to remove everything and examine the treasures.
Even though the man, Schlattner, couldn’t keep the treasures for himself, he agreed to help locate the property.
Reflecting on the discovery, he said: “We thought we would come back one day and find a property there.”
