Harlow, a Golden Retriever dog, and the little boy Carter formed a beautiful friendship.
When the family brought baby Carter home from the hospital after his birth, Harlow welcomed the new family member by wagging his tail and smiling.
Harlow would have liked to say hello to the little one, but he simply sniffed and licked the infant. Soon, the four-legged friend accepted his new role as a nanny.
The caring pup always lay next to the baby all day long. When Carter reached eight months, they began to play with a tennis ball.
Although the duo couldn’t speak in a common language, they understood each other perfectly.
Carter loved rides in the family’s stroller. He sat with Harlow in the stroller and went around the neighborhood.
The pair also bounced on the trampoline. Carter especially enjoyed being bounced by Harlow.
When Carter was already two years old, he started showing signs of responsibility. He fed Harlow, opened the door to let the dog go outside, and gave him baths.
Soon, the boy got a lovely little sister whom he loved very much. Time spent with Harlow taught Carter to be gentle, caring, and responsible.
The canine friend also offered his unconditional love to all family members if the day was stressful due to work.
It’s truly wonderful to have a loving and devoted pet like Harlow at home.
