In 2009, the name of the American woman Nadya Suleman became very famous because she gave birth to octuplets.
Nadya got married at the age of 20, but after four years, the couple divorced.
The young woman knew she couldn’t have children and despite being single, she decided to become a mother at all costs. So, Nadya turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF).
She gave birth to a son in 2001 and then a daughter was born. Then, the woman gave birth to four more children, two of whom were twins.
But Nadya became famous for giving birth to eight babies when she already had six.
The American woman decided to give birth to multiple children at once, but the law allowed the transfer of no more than two embryos.
Probably, Nadya had to persuade the doctor to break the law, and 12 embryos were transferred to her, of which 8 were conceived.
Due to this multiple pregnancy, the doctor had his medical license revoked.
At the age of 30, the mother of six children gave birth to octuplets whose birth made headlines in America and around the world. But Nadya never entered the Guinness Book of Records because soon, in India, a woman gave birth to 10 children at once.
Once in an interview, Nadya said that they were living very poorly, barely making a living, and had heavy debts.
And then, she said she hated her children. She surely said this out of emotion, but people didn’t like that statement.
Suleman decided to take extreme measures and worked as an actress in adult films and also as a stripper.
But obviously, society couldn’t accept that.
Soon, the woman refused this work and started working at the hospital as a nurse, which was her profession.
Now, the “octomom” mother is doing her best to restore her reputation and earn money to support her offspring.
