🏚️ My mother-in-law used to live with us, but she actually had her own apartment, which wasn’t in very good shape. It was a studio that hadn’t been renovated in a long time.
She always told us she would love to renovate it so she could live there, but due to financial constraints, it was never possible. So, my husband and I decided to surprise her with this renovation as a gift 🎁. She always took care of our children, was constantly helping us, and truly deserved such a gesture ❤️.
We decided to keep the surprise a secret until the very last moment 🤫. When the apartment was finally ready, she couldn’t believe it was actually her old apartment— the transformation was so impressive 😲.

We wanted to turn this small apartment into a modern, bright, and functional space.
To create a cozy atmosphere, we first chose light colors for the entire apartment.
We outfitted the kitchen with minimalist yet elegant furniture.
My husband had the clever idea of moving the kitchen to free up space for a bedroom.
We installed a large bed and decorated the wall behind it.
As for the bathroom, we replaced the bathtub with a shower.
We even found a place for the washing machine, so the space became more organized.
When my mother-in-law entered the apartment, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
She was truly surprised by this gift and kept thanking us over and over.
I believe it was the least we could do for her, as she was an incredible woman who really deserved this gesture.
