Brianna Bond is an American schoolgirl who, until recently, struggled with severe obesity.
However, neither the girl herself nor her family was willing to accept this condition and began a real battle with her weight.
They emerged as victors – Brianna lost almost 40 kilograms, returned to an active life, and started making real progress in sports.
Brianna Bond was 9 years old when her story became well-known. At some point, she weighed about 85 kilograms.
After a short time, her weight continued to increase, reaching nearly 90 kilograms, and it seemed like it would never end, making it look like she would be a hostage to her own body for the rest of her life.
She was taunted by peers, openly ridiculed and bullied, and the girl’s life was not particularly happy.
Furthermore, the excess weight made her quite immobile, and she also had health problems.
Thanks to the support of her parents, she started swimming.
It turned out that the former overweight girl had very good potential as a swimmer, and in early 2014, it was announced that Brianna, who was already 11 years old, had made it to the Youth Olympic team.
Brianna Bond proved to be a resilient fighter – at her young age, she managed to give a real fight to a dangerous enemy – obesity, along with all its associated issues – laziness, immobility, inactivity, and low self-esteem.
