Since the age of 1️⃣8️⃣, this man has been a blood donor and has donated blood for 6️⃣7️⃣ years 🤩 Thanks to this, he has saved more than 2.4 million lives 😮 His blood is considered precious, and here’s why
It all started when James was 14 years old. He had to undergo surgery to remove a lung, and it was thanks to the blood transfusions he received that he was able to survive. Just imagine…
At that age, while most of us are focused on the little things of daily life, James decided to give back what he had received. He promised himself he would become a blood donor as soon as he could.
At 18, true to his promise, James became a blood donor for the Red Cross. And he didn’t stop at just a few donations. No, this incredible man continued to give blood for 67 years, reaching over 1,100 donations in total.
Can you imagine? 1,100 times, he sat in that chair, extended his arm, and gave a part of himself to save lives. It’s both moving and inspiring.
What makes James’s story even more extraordinary is that he has a very rare blood type known as D negative. This blood is not only compatible with all blood types, but it is also crucial for treating Rh disease, a dangerous condition for unborn babies.
Thanks to this special donation, James was able to save more than 2.4 million lives—primarily newborns.
Now that James has reached the age limit for donating blood, he has had to retire from this life mission. But his impact is so immense that the Red Cross has counted the number of lives he has saved and honored him for his dedication.
