It was my neighbor who gave me this table 🪑, knowing that I have a passion for restoring old furniture 🔨✨.
At first, I wasn’t really motivated to take care of it, since it was a rattan piece—quite a delicate material to restore 😅. But eventually, I decided to give it a go 💪.

My neighbor knows I love to transform or restore worn-out furniture.
One day, she gave me an old rattan table.
At first, I wasn’t motivated to work on it, because rattan furniture is quite tricky to renovate.
Restoring it requires a particular know-how.
Still, I eventually decided to restore it.
I removed the glass top, as it was broken.
Then, I carefully cleaned the table.
Since rattan can handle water, I scrubbed it outdoors and then let it dry.
Meanwhile, I made a new tabletop.
The table was oval-shaped, so I had to adjust everything by hand.
With a simple glue gun, I repaired the damaged parts.
Next, I applied a primer with a spray gun on the harder-to-reach areas.
Finally, I painted the legs to harmonize the whole look.
Once the varnish dried, the table was ready to use.
It had found a new life and a beautiful appearance.
In the end, I was really pleased with the result!
