🌊 I’ve always loved walking along the coast, breathing in the sea air, and immersing myself in the wild beauty of nature. One day, my boyfriend and I decided to go on an adventure and visit the island of Fuerteventura.
After exploring some peaceful spots, we took a break near a small beach, unaware that a strange phenomenon awaited us. As we approached the beach, a completely surprising scene unfolded before us.
It was as if the beach was covered in popcorn. A bewildering, almost surreal sight that looked like an art installation. Intrigued and a little puzzled 😯, I wondered if it was some kind of special sand, or if something even more mysterious was behind this phenomenon…
It was when we discovered the truth that the surprise truly made sense 😲.

In reality, it was small white grains scattered in the black volcanic sand.
One of the locals explained that these unusual stones were the remains of red coral algae.
When they die, their structures turn white, and the ocean waves wash them up on the beach.
Over time, the water and sand shape them into popcorn-like forms.
These facts fascinated us, and we watched the beach in awe.
It was as if nature was offering us a secret spectacle, a hidden beauty that only a few people had the chance to discover.
We felt incredibly lucky to witness this rare phenomenon.
It turned out that this place was a true gem of nature.
