Every summer, I spend my holidays at my grandparents’ house. One of my favorite activities during this time is going to the beach.
A few days ago, while I was swimming, I left my towel and my things on the sand. After enjoying the water, I lay down on the sand for a moment. When I started picking up my things, I had a strange feeling when I touched my towel: there was something inside.
Opening it, I found a strange object that scared me. I had no idea what it was. Panicked, I threw my towel on the ground.
But after calming down, I decided to take a photo to show it to my grandfather. He knows the local wildlife well, and I was sure he could explain it to me. When he told me what it was, I was greatly relieved that I hadnât touched it.

My grandfather explained that it was simply a mass of sea snail eggs.
Their translucent and slightly colored appearance gives them a strange, almost eerie look, especially when you donât know what they are.
However, they are just small gelatinous pockets that protect the embryos until they hatch.
I was relieved to learn that I had nothing to fear, but also fascinated by the way nature works.
These fragile and precious eggs had probably been carried by the waves before landing randomly on my towel.
In the end, this discovery reminded me of how many secrets the beach holds and how important it is to respect these little lives, even when they seem strange or frightening at first glance.
