Bali resident Renata Fadea was recently looking through old family photographs and was surprised to find her own husband in one of them. Moreover, the woman saw herself in the picture – it turned out that she had been at the wedding of her then future husband as a child.
The husband is 38 years older than 29-year-old Renata. The woman knew that before they met, he had been married twice, but relationships with other partners did not work out. The photographs were dated to the time of the second wedding – here Renata saw herself.
As it turned out, at the age of nine she and her parents were at that very celebration. The little girl did not remember this boring day at all.
Renata met the same man again in 2019. They fell in love, got married, and last year the family welcomed their first child.
Meeting by chance in childhood and reuniting as an adult is fate,” people commented on Renata’s post on social networks.
However, for Indonesia the situation is not so surprising. Early marriages are accepted here, and almost no attention is paid to the age difference.
