I had planned to spend the weekend with my grandson, Tommy 👶. Since my daughter works even on weekends, I decided to help her a bit by doing some house chores. While checking, I noticed that her washing machine was broken, so I decided to go to the laundromat. Of course, I took Tommy with me.
There was a very kind man at the laundromat 😊. At first, he started chatting with Tommy, then he offered to hold him while I sorted the laundry. He seemed like a good person, so I trusted him, especially since I had the feeling that Tommy liked him too ❤️.
But when I finished sorting the laundry and turned around, I was in shock 😱: Tommy was chewing on something horrible. I was completely panicked 😨, and the fact that the man was smiling instead of intervening really angered me…
The whole story is in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
When I turned around, I saw that Tommy was chewing on a Tide pod.
Panicked, I rushed to yank it out of his mouth.
I got angry at the man, and the fact that he was smiling made me even more upset.
When I asked him why he had let Tommy put it in his mouth, he just replied that “kids put everything in their mouths.”
He said this casually and didn’t seem to realize the danger.
Furious, I told him to eat one if it was so normal for him, and I took Tommy.
Fortunately, Tommy hadn’t swallowed the pod; he had just chewed on it a little.
My heart let out a sigh of relief.
After checking carefully, I realized that he hadn’t ingested anything toxic.
Thinking back to that moment, I realized that we must always be vigilant, even in the most seemingly harmless situations.
