😔 My granddaughter hadn’t invited me to her wedding, and when I learned the reason, I cried tears of joy.
When my daughter worked at the hospital, I took care of my granddaughter. We were always very close. As she grew up, she called me almost every day, and I was there for all the important moments in her life.
She had always been a very grateful person, and after every achievement, she never forgot to thank me, as well as her mother. She would confide all her secrets in me, and I was the first one she told when she got engaged.
However, after this news, something changed. She stopped visiting me and stopped calling. I thought she was just busy with the wedding preparations and that I shouldn’t disturb her.
It was only later that I found out I hadn’t been invited to her wedding. A neighbor explained that she had kept me at a distance because she thought my simplicity might affect the image of her wedding. This revelation hurt me deeply.
The next day, she came to see me to talk about all of this. I was disappointed, but I decided not to say anything, after all, it was her big day, and she was the one who decided who would be by her side.
That’s when she explained why I hadn’t been invited. At that moment, I cried… but not out of sadness. I cried tears of joy.

She explained to me that the absence of the invitation was simply a mistake.
It was a misunderstanding caused by the pressure of preparing the surprise.
She had never been ashamed of me.
Clearly moved and truly sorry, she then invited me to her wedding, designating me as the guest of honor.
The wedding took place two weeks later.
I sat in the front row, overwhelmed with emotion as I watched her walk toward her future, radiant.
When our eyes met, her smile erased all the pain.
I had found my granddaughter again, and that bond was not broken.
