😯 It was on the floor, in one of the rooms of my new house. I was horrified when I discovered what it actually was.
After nearly ten years of saving, I had finally realized my dream: buying my own house. It was a charming little house with a nice garden, just as I had always wanted.
Everything seemed perfect… until one month after moving in, I noticed something unusual on the floor in one of the rooms. I panicked when I saw the amount of what I had found.
I immediately took a photo to research more. After doing some digging, I had a revelation that sent chills down my spine. What I had discovered was far more worrying.
I’m sharing my story to warn you, in case you ever face a similar problem.
The details are in the article linked in the first comment 👇👇👇.
As I found out, it was dry rot, a destructive fungus.
The scariest part was that the floor could collapse at any moment because these creatures feed on wood and can even pass through walls, spreading everywhere.
The problem came from the crawl space, a small room beneath the living room, accessible through a hatch.
It’s an ideal environment for dry rot, which thrives in darkness and humidity.
While there is an effective treatment for this fungus, it turns out to be very expensive.
Of course, the previous owner didn’t inform me about this hidden flaw.
So, I decided to file a lawsuit against her to recover my money.
