Romand McConr: This adorable twelve-year-old who has saved 4,000 dogs through his videos
At just twelve years old, Romand McConr is already a hero in the animal world.
This young boy from Augusta, Georgia, has shown incredible determination to help thousands of forgotten dogs. Through his videos and unconditional love, he has rescued over 4,000 of his four-legged friends.
Romand was four years old and living in Texas when he learned about the plight of shelter dogs during a visit to a pet store.
Seeing dogs in cages waiting to be adopted, his parents explained to him that due to shelter overpopulation, animals that don’t find homes are at risk of unfair outcomes at any moment. This truth deeply touched Romand’s tender heart.
This sparked his desire to combine his fascination with dogs and social media. “I started finding homes for every shelter dog,” he says about his newfound calling. With help from his mom, Jenny McConr, he creates heartwarming videos showcasing dogs available for adoption.
His clips aim to raise awareness, highlighting their personalities and need for love.
He also launched an initiative called “Project_Freedom_Ride,” aimed at transferring animals from overcrowded shelters in Georgia to places with higher adoption demand, like Washington State.
But these transfers aren’t just about transportation. Romand and his family ensure each dog is well cared for, settled, and healthy during the journey.
Romand’s work goes beyond videos. Over 4,000 dogs have found loving homes thanks to him. His actions have inspired many people to get involved in animal welfare.
