đ˛ Something in my daughter’s closet terrified her, and I was frozen in shock when I discovered what it was.
Since my divorce, I have been living in a quiet town with my eight-year-old daughter. Every morning, I prepare breakfast before sending her off to school. It was a morning like any other, everything was ready, and I called her to tell her it was time to come downstairs. But she didnât come. At first, I thought maybe she wasnât awake yet.
I went into her room, and there she was, frozen, standing in front of her closet. When I asked if everything was okay, she didnât even answer me. Her eyes were fixed on the closet door.
I approached her and asked what was going on. Thatâs when she whispered to me, in a trembling voice, âDonât open it, please.â
She seemed terrified, as if something inside the closet scared her. I wanted to open the door to reassure her, but she stopped me.
At first, I thought it was just a childish fear, an overactive imagination. But seeing her in such a state, I told her I wouldnât open it to help her calm down. She finally relaxed, had her breakfast, and went off to school.
Once she left the house, curiosity got the best of me. I couldnât stop thinking about that strange scene. I went into my daughterâs room, and, after taking a deep breath, I gently opened the closet door.
What I found froze me in place.
The continuation of the story is in the first comment below đđđ.
When I opened the closet, I found an unknown adult-sized T-shirt.
Digging a little deeper, I found a secret compartment behind the panel.
Inside, there were dirty blankets, crushed cans, fast food wrappers, and a notebook.
My daughter had drawn a man, accompanied by the message: âDonât talk. Donât look. Donât say anything.â
Horrified, I immediately called the police.
The investigators confirmed that a space had been added recently in the wall, and that someone had been entering the house while we were away.
The police eventually found the intruder.
They arrested him, but the anxiety remained, knowing that he had been living among us without us realizing it.
