As a parent, there are certain stages in your children’s lives that you will certainly never forget. For many, this includes the moment when their child takes their first steps. The McFam family on social media has already had this experience with their first child, Evie.
Yet nothing could have prepared them for the moment their second child, Lulu, would start walking for the first time. At just over 16 months old, they knew this moment could come at any moment.
And then, one day…it happened!
Really, there was almost no transition from “huh, how does it work?” » and “I am an expert at walking”. The video below gives us a glimpse of Lulu’s walking expertise.
It shows how easily this little girl goes from sitting to walking from one end of the room to the other, as if she had been doing this her entire short life.
The mother can’t help but express her amazement and confusion at Lulu’s ability to walk as if nothing had happened. The little girl doesn’t seem to understand this confusion: Is walking difficult or something like that?
Based on many comments, it seems that Lulu was cunning.
Turns out it’s pretty common for a toddler to practice walking when there’s no one else nearby. So maybe it wasn’t his first time after all!
“I used to watch my oldest on the monitor in her room,” another parent wrote, “she would walk every time I left the room and drop to the floor when she heard me coming.”
“When I was 15 and my little sister was 1, she only practiced walking around me and refused to go near our parents,” another person said. “I think a lot of babies hide things like that, it’s funny.
