šÆ I made my husband’s favorite pie. He tasted it and said, “You know, even my ex made it better than you.” Then, he threw it in the trash. I couldnāt tolerate that, and hereās what I did.
Yesterday, I decided to cheer my husband up. Lately, he’s been working a lot and coming home exhausted. Since he loves pies, I wanted to make him happy by preparing his favorite one.
I bought all the necessary ingredients and spent several hours in the kitchen, just for him. I also planned a special evening: good wine, candles to create a romantic atmosphere.
I found the dress I wore on our first date. Luckily, it still fit perfectly, so I decided to wear it.
Everything was ready, and I was excited to see him and imagine his reaction. When he came home, I greeted him with the pie in my hands, all smiles. But as soon as he walked through the door, I noticed he wasnāt in his usual state.
He seemed tired and distant. I rushed to him with enthusiasm, handing him the pie.
He looked at me and asked, “Why are you wearing that dress? It’s old, isnāt it?”
I didnāt pay attention to his words and offered him a bite of the pie, hoping it would help him relax. He took a spoonful, then said in a cold tone, “You know, even my ex made it better than you.” Then, he threw the pie in the trash.
I stood there, frozen, unable to comprehend what had just happened. I had put in so much effort, and I really didnāt expect such a reaction. I just wanted to show him how much I loved him and how much he meant to me.
I couldnāt tolerate that, and hereās what I did.

I couldnāt hold back.
I took everything that was in the fridge and threw it in the trash.
“Do you want something better?” I said to him, coldly.
“Go eat at your exās, because she knows how to cook.”
He opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out.
I no longer wanted to explain anything to him.
My efforts, my gestures, my care ā none of that mattered in his eyes.
“I donāt want to be your second option anymore. If your life was better with her, go back to her. Itās as simple as that.”
I left him in the living room, shocked, without even giving him a chance to react.
