In New Jersey, USA, there is a law that requires all homeowners to keep their homes and grounds clean: the roads must be clean and tidy. But unfortunately, some people cannot meet this condition. Some people simply don’t have the money, while others cannot due to health or old age.
This is the case of Anne Glancy, an elderly teacher who can no longer keep her house and garden clean. The paint has long since peeled and appears neglected. Besides, she didn’t have a big pension, but just enough to live on. Therefore, she could not take care of the house all the time.
Fortunately, Anna was lucky enough to have very kind and friendly neighbors. They decided to raise the money themselves and repair the house. At first, women were embarrassed and didn’t want to do it.
However, she was quickly fined a large amount, which she was unable to pay. So she agreed to do it.
Then her neighbors joined her and the work began. It was a pleasure to work with such a great team, but above all, it was fast.
During the summer, the helpers also worked weekends. Soon the house was almost unrecognizable. Windows and porches were rebuilt and repaired.
Anna gradually became friends with the workers and visited them from time to time.
Ann had to pay at least 10,000 for the renovations, but the kind neighbor paid for the renovations at her own expense.
